simplequran.net is a free tool for reading and listening to the Quran. This page explains what information is collected when you use the site and how it's handled.
We don't require an account, and we don't ask you for your name, email address, or any other personal details to use the site. There are no user profiles stored on our servers.
Bookmarks and reading preferences (such as your chosen highlight color) are saved directly in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device — it is never transmitted to or stored on our servers, and clearing your browser data will remove it permanently.
If you use the Qibla compass or the "Use My Location" option for prayer times, your browser will ask permission to share your device's location. This location is used only in the moment to calculate a direction or prayer schedule and is not stored or sent anywhere beyond the request made to the prayer-times API described below. You can decline this permission and instead search for prayer times by city and country.
